Google Forms - how to gain the data

Image
Application from the Google brand that I am a fan of is Google forms. I am using this to collect data for the essays I am going to write. This is often useful for students for their graduate works but it does not mean that we can not use it at school. We can gather different kind of data to prepare any kind of work. I used Google Forms with my schoolmates to practice before the exam. We created mini tests and sent them to each other. Then we compared our results and corrected the mistakes together, explaining why the particular answer was correct. I also use it now during my statistic classes. We prepare surveys and send them to other students and then we make calculations, create graphs and make comparisons. Google Forms works very fast so users can easily create, edit and fill forms on screens of any size. Here you can see an example of form:

YouTube

Youtube is one of the most popular Google applications. It allows us to watch and upload your own movies for free. Youtube was founded in 2005 and the first official video uploaded to it is called "Me at the zoo". Originally, Youtube was not created by Google. A year after the site was launched, Youtube agreed to a $ 1.65 billion offer from Google.       Personally, this is one of my favorite websites and app of all others. I often enjoy new materials from my favorite creators. I also use YouTube to listen to music and all kinds of artists. I think it is also a great opportunity for students. to gain knowledge. There are plenty of channels where we can find educational materials. For example "MateMaks" is one of the most popular mathematic creator who explains accurate parts of curriculum and helps students in understanding matters. It is only one example of people who helps us learning at home and I assume it is very useful during pandemic of covid-19.

Visit in the Google Campus

Image
On 6th February our project group took part in the excursion to Warsaw (the capital city of Poland) so that we visited Google Campus Warsaw on Konesera 10, which is an ideal place to start an innovative business. Thanks to the commitment of Ms. Magda Kubińska, CEE Community Manager, who showed us Google headquarters in Poland, one of seven in the world, we were able to admire the heart of developing startups, a co-working space in which startups and accelerators have access to knowledge, support and contacts, free training and mentoring and a diverse community of like-minded problem solvers. Campus Warsaw is support for teams that can achieve progress in implementing their great idea. In the future, when planning our own business, we will be able to take advantage of this space. It is a big building in which people can develop their start-ups and work in peace and silence. There are plenty of rooms included a library, an IT room and something like a cafe. There is an

Erasmus Days - what was that?

Image
Last year, our project team organised an Erasmus Day at our school. That was an international event on 10th October when students from Erasmus groups took part in. We prepared a google presentation of our mobilities and adventures we been experienced during visits abroad. We talked about the most exciting events and places we went to. The audience was very interested and asked plenty of questions which we happily answered. Additionally, we showed them how to use google applications, our main topic. We presented some innovate ways to change standard lessons into creative and pleasant time both for students and teachers. I suppose that this piece of knowledge encouraged majority to use google applications and study more effectively. There are some photos from that day:

Google expeditions and cardboards

Image
Have you ever wanted to seen some phenomena closely? It is possible now due to Google expeditions. That's an amazing application which allows us to travel around the world and visit the most popular monuments and buildings. We only need to choose a trip and then we receive a description and photos. Best option is to use cardboards - special 3D glasses, which let us see surrounding space. Last week we had a fantastic English lesson - we used google expeditions and 'went' to Paris - the capital city of France! We saw "Louvre'', "Eiffel Tower" and other beautiful places. Moreover, our schoolmate was a tour guide and read us an interesting description about each place. It was a fantasting experience and I can recommend that application for everyone who loves travelling :) There are some photos from lesson:

Google sites - that is how to remember more

Image
Vast majority of people are visualizers so they have to see something to remember that. I'm also in this group and I've always had problems with learning definitions or understanding processes from description. I prefer to analise a particular graf or watch a video which contains an accurate explanation.  The best way to broaden your knowlegde is to learn from visual sources. I started that method about 2 years ago and I'm very satisfied. I have good marks at school and don't need to spend hours on studying. Last week I participated in a webinar in my school which referred to google sites. We learned how to create a website and used it in practise. It is completely easy and really helpful. You can design your website as you wish and publish.  The conclusion is that if you want to pass something along to other people you can effectively do it using google sites.  Here's the link to my site which is about Giżycko - my home town. I could write a h

Gmail - useful and practical email

Image
Gmail is the first google apllication which I have been using up to now. I had dozens of emails on different websites such as "wp" or ''onet'', however, in my opinion Gmail is the most attractive one. Why? There are lots of reasons. At first I'd say that it's free from spam. I receive only crucial mails which are necessary for me an I've never had problems with finding them in the mailbox. The most essential ones I can mark with a star and move into special folder where I can easily find them later. Moreover, I can personally design its look. I mean choosing a background colour, font and amount of mails on each page.  This is my mailbox: And how about yours? :)
